Hello, my old friends! Long time no see. I’ve been staying in China for four days. It’s summer here now, and the temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius every day. The ground is so hot that it feels like it could burn your feet! Chinese people often joke about this kind of weather by saying, “This heat is enough to boil an egg or even fry an egg on the street!”
Most people don’t stay outside for long. Instead, they prefer to stay indoors with the air conditioner on to escape the heat. Some people go to swimming pools to cool off, while others enjoy eating frozen watermelon and ice cream to beat the heat.
At night, it’s still hot outside. The streets are quiet, and there are fewer people walking around. Even the air feels heavy and still, and without windows open or bright streetlights, it can feel a bit uncomfortable.
But despite the heat, I’m enjoying my stay here. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively. Summer in China definitely leaves a deep impression on me!
